The New Maryland Elementary School Remembrance Day Assembly will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 10:45am. In attendance will be representatives from our Local MLA, Jack Carr, the Village of New Maryland Mayor Frank Dunn and Fire Chief, Harry Farrell.

All Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms to school on Thursday, November 10th.

An exciting new year is now underway with many new and returning Beavers. Our first meeting consisted of a treasure hunt and roasting marshmellows. The Beavers followed directions from an old pirate map with assistance from Captain Tic Tac in honour of "Talk Like a Pirate Day". They were able to find the treasures of hidden loot while learning how to follow North, South, East, and West cooridinates.  Beavers also enjoyed yummy roasted marshmellows while learning how to start a campfire, as well as what 3 elements are needed for a fire to burn (fuel, spark, oxygen). The Beavers were reminded of the dangers of playing with matches and lighters.

We are fortunate enough to have all of our volunteer leaders return again this year. Our Volunteers leaders are:
