Hello All,

With our camp coming up in two weeks, it is important that we have know how many will be attending. I have attached the permission slip for the camp. Can you please sign it and have your Scout bring it in this evening.  

Also this is just another reminder that we have a meeting for the parents of the 1^st and 2^nd year Scouts tonight. We will be discussing camping and how to be properly prepared.

Here are the directions to our camp site.

 - Following the TransCanada for about 10 minutes north of Fredericton

 - Then take the Mazerolle settlement road exit # 271

 - Turn left onto the Mazerolle Settlement road for about 1.3 km

 - You will come to a T intersection then turn right onto route 640 (Hanwell Road)

 - Travel for about 10.4 kms then turn left onto the YOHO Lake Road (you should see Scout signage)

 - Then travel about 0.85 km on your left you will see Scout signs and gazebo

 - Follow the road in till you come to Site 8 on the left.

Hello all,

I hope all is going well. Here is a quick update on the events that will be taking place over the next several weeks:

1. Monday, October 10 – No meeting due to Thanks Giving

2. Saturday, October 15 – Apple Day. An email with more details will be sent in the next week.

3. Monday, October 17 – parent meeting. Please note that this was originally set for the following Monday, but the schedule has changed. This meeting will be mandatory for all parents of 1

^{st and 2nd year Scouts.} Parents who intent to have their Scout attend camps must come to this information session. If you cannot attend please let me know and we can make other arrangements to get the information to you. Parents of 3rd and 4th year Scouts do not have to attend, but can if they wish.

4. Monday, October 24 – We will be having Levi Lawrence from Real Food Connections in as a guest speaker. He will be speaking about the benefits of "buying local". If parents would like to stick around and watch the presentation, please feel free.

5. October 28-30 @ The Miller Camp of the Yoho Scout Reserve will be our first camp. More details will be provided on this as we get closer to the time.
