On Monday, October 17th we will be going Geocaching. If you are not sure what geoaching is, it is a high tech hide and seek game:

Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity where you use a GPS receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world.

A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (tupperware or similar) can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little value.

We will be looking for some more caches hidden in the Sunrise Estates area. Please make sure your cub comes prepared with boots on, appropriate clothing for the weather, a flashlight, and a filled water bottle (and something to carry his/her water bottle in). Your Cub Scout can also bring some small items to trade, in case these caches have swag in them to trade. Uniforms are not requred for this event.

Drop off/pick-up will be normal times (6:30-8pm). Note the location will be at the bottom of Sunrise Estates Drive, see the map below. If you have any questions, please let me know. This event is rain or shine.
