Cub Scouts JOTT - May 12

Posted on Monday, 07 May 2012 in Cub Scouts

On Saturday, May 12, the Cub Scouts will be having a hike in the UNB woodlot, the annual JOTT (Jamboree on the Trail). We will meet at the last entrance to the woodlot on your right when you are heading into Fredericton from New Maryland (location shown below).

JOTT will start at 9am, and pickup will be at 11am, in the same location.

White Tail Beavers are encouraged to attend!

Please make sure your Cub Scout is dressed for the weather, including footwear, it will probably still be muddy, especially with the rain forecast for this week. Uniforms are required, but for those in the tan shirt, you do not need your sash.

Please ensure they also have a day pack with water, and a snack. We will have something to share for them as well.

Also, they should be encouraged to bring their survival kit with them (which we are making tonight).

If you could let me know prior to Wednesday if your son/daughter is attending that would be great as I need to pick up the campfire blanket crests before Saturday.

Cub Scout Hike - September 19

Posted on Friday, 16 September 2011 in Cub Scouts

Just a reminder that our meeting on Monday, September 19, 2011 will not be at Sts. John and Paul. Instead, we will be going on a hike at Corbett's Brook Marsh, which is behind the Corbett Centre.

Please make sure your Cub Scout is dressed for the weather, and brings a flashlight and has a water bottle (please make sure your Cub Scout has something he/she can carry the water bottle in, like a day pack).

We will be meeting at 6:30pm (we will not leave until 6:40 for stragglers), and pick-up will be at 8pm.

Uniforms are not required, but neckers are required.

Below is a map showing where we are hiking. To get there, you turn onto Knowledge Park Drive, and take the second right when you pass the Winners Store on your right (the first right is a small access driveway). You will be turning into a dirt parking lot.
